India Q2 (Jul-Sep) 2023-24 Growth Beats All Estimates

 

India’s economy grew at 7.6% per cent in the July-September quarter as against 7.8% in the April-June quarter, showed government data on Thursday.In the April-June quarter, the gross domestic product (GDP) growth was 6.2%. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had projected a growth rate of 6.5% during Q2FY24. The manufacturing sector, which for the past decade has accounted for just 17% of the economy, expanded 13.9% year-on-year in the September quarter, compared with a revised 4.7% in the previous three months. "Real GDP or GDP at Constant (2011-12) Prices in Q2 2023-24 is estimated to attain a level of Rs 41.74 lakh crore, as against Rs 38.78 lakh crore in Q2 2022-23, showing a growth of 7.6% as compared to 6.2% in Q2 2022-23," said Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation in a statement.
