On Thursday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated 500 electric buses, bringing the total number of such buses in the national capital to 1,300. These buses have collectively traveled over 42 million kilometers, resulting in a reduction of more than 34,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The newly introduced buses are reported to be accessible and equipped with air-conditioning.
