Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien faced suspension from the Rajya Sabha due to "ignoble misconduct" following a confrontation with the House Chairman during the commotion surrounding the Lok Sabha security breach incident. An hour into Thursday's Rajya Sabha proceedings, opposition MPs gathered in the Well of the House, insisting on a discussion about the Parliament security breach. Despite 28 notices submitted by the opposition MPs to suspend regular business for the day and address the security breach, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar rejected the requests, leading to the opposition MPs moving into the Well of the House. They voiced slogans and called for a response from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Dhankhar criticized the MPs' "unruly behavior," stating that it violated parliamentary rules.
